Hydraulic Oil

Nordic ORN Hydraulic Oil Range
Advanced Hydraulic Oil | Synthetic & Bio-Based Formulations
Hydraulic oil is not just a fluid inside the machine. It is a critical part of the system.

Hydraulic Oil Is Not a Commodity

It transmits power, lubricates moving surfaces, removes heat, protects seals, prevents corrosion, and helps carry contamination away from sensitive components. In a hydraulic system, every pump, valve, actuator, and cylinder depends on the quality and stability of the fluid moving through it.

Nordic ORN hydraulic oils are developed for systems where precision, pressure, temperature control, cleanliness, and reliability matter. From industrial machinery and mobile equipment to marine, forestry, agriculture, construction, mining, and environmentally sensitive applications, ORN is engineered to help hydraulic systems perform with confidence.

Modern Hydraulic Systems Demand More

Modern hydraulic systems operate under increasing pressure. Equipment is becoming more compact, reservoirs are smaller, component clearances are tighter, and operating temperatures are more demanding. This leaves less room for poor fluid selection.

When hydraulic oil breaks down through oxidation, viscosity loss, additive depletion, contamination, or incorrect specification, the entire system can suffer. Pump wear, valve sticking, seal degradation, overheating, slow response, and unplanned downtime can all begin with the wrong fluid.

ORN was developed to support hydraulic systems that cannot afford uncertainty.

The Challenge Modern Hydraulic Systems Present
Temperature Extremes
Hydraulic equipment may need to start in cold outdoor conditions and continue operating under sustained heat. ORN formulations are designed to support stable viscosity, fast circulation, and reliable protection across demanding temperature ranges.
High System Pressure
Modern pumps, valves, and actuators operate under high pressure and tight tolerances. ORN hydraulic oils are developed to help maintain strong film protection and anti-wear performance under continuous load.
Environmental Sensitivity
Forestry, marine, agriculture, waterway infrastructure, and food-adjacent operations often require fluids with improved environmental characteristics. The ORN range includes bio-based options designed for environmentally sensitive applications
Extended Service Life
Large hydraulic systems can be costly and time-consuming to drain and refill. ORN formulations are developed to resist oxidation, maintain cleanliness, and support longer service intervals when used in the correct application and maintained properly.
The ORN Range at a Glance
The Technology Behind ORN
Every grade in the ORN range is developed around a specific application environment. Rather than offering one general-purpose hydraulic oil for every system, ORN focuses on the fluid characteristics that matter most: viscosity stability, anti-wear protection, oxidation resistance, cleanliness, seal compatibility, corrosion protection, and environmental suitability.
High Viscosity Stability

A hydraulic fluid must maintain the correct viscosity across its operating temperature range. If the fluid is too thick at start-up, it can reduce efficiency and increase stress on pumps. If it becomes too thin at operating temperature, protection can be compromised.

Selected ORN grades are developed with high viscosity index technology to help maintain consistent hydraulic response, efficient power transmission, and reliable lubrication across changing temperatures.

Anti-Wear & System Protection

Hydraulic systems include precision-machined components with very fine clearances. Pumps, valves, actuators, and cylinders all require a fluid that can maintain protective film strength under pressure.

ORN hydraulic oils are formulated to help reduce wear, protect metal surfaces, support seal performance, and maintain system cleanliness during operation.

Zinc-Free & Ashless Technology

Certain hydraulic systems require zinc-free or ashless formulations, especially where sensitive components, servo valves, proportional valves, or silver-plated parts are involved.

ORN ZF is designed for applications where conventional zinc-based hydraulic oils may not be suitable. Its zinc-free additive technology supports clean operation, corrosion protection, and reliable performance in sensitive systems.

Bio-Based Formulations

Environmental responsibility is becoming increasingly important in hydraulic applications, especially in forestry, marine, agriculture, waterways, and outdoor equipment.

The ORN BIO range is developed for applications where environmental sensitivity matters, while still supporting the hydraulic performance required for demanding machinery. These formulations are designed to combine effective lubrication with improved environmental characteristics.

Why Quality Matters in Hydraulic Systems

In hydraulic systems, poor fluid quality can quickly become a serious operational problem. A pump failure, valve malfunction, or contamination-related issue can stop an entire machine, production line, vessel, or mobile operation.

That is why ORN is developed around controlled formulation, consistent production, batch traceability, and quality-focused testing. The goal is simple: every fluid must be suitable for the system it is designed to protect

Built for Precision Under Pressure

Whether the system operates in a factory, on a vessel, inside a mine, on agricultural equipment, in a forestry machine, or in a high-pressure industrial process, the hydraulic oil must perform consistently.

Nordic ORN Hydraulic Oil is engineered for demanding systems where power, precision, protection, and reliability must work together.
